A charming hotel by the sea

A charming hotel by the sea

Miriam Yeleq

When Zdenka Lara, general director of H Up Interior Design + Design, was proposed to intervene a protected building to build a boutique hotel, he was clear: "I had to breathe history." The interior designer, aware that the objective was to offer accommodation with very personal charm in the center of Alicante, respected the essence of the old Palace of Die in which it is located. The courtyard of cavalry, which serves as a reception, has an impressive entrance in which pieces of syrups are combined with others recovered from an old convent. The lamp that receives the visitor offers a cascade of light. Its success has been such that the study has received orders to reproduce the design on a smaller scale.

For decoration, H Up Interiorismo + Diseño had creations by artisans and manufacturers in the area. The idea was to get a special accommodation, with a lot of charm, but where you could enjoy all the comforts of a four-star hotel. The original walls and beams have been maintained to combine them with a serene interior design that makes the stay more pleasant. Retro air baths where you can relax with the amenities After a day of tourism, fluffy beds and original details - such as headboards, bedside tables or the arty point in the works of the artist Patricia Capdevilla - convince and excite.
